Sunny Saturday

Oooh I love it when daddy comes on walks too… he’s managed to get home from work in time for some walks in the evening this week, and today we sort of went on the same walk twice. In the morning we started off by walking up East Street but that was just to go and pick up a poo bag we hid in the hedge last night because we went to the pub so didn’t come back home the same way.

We met these two big dogs coming out of the field with their mum – they’re just on holiday visiting. Their mum says they’re really quite friendly, just kind of big and lots of people are frightened of them.. but not me!! Here I am getting in a right tangle..

Anyway, after sorting the poo bag we went up over the field across the road and then up past the kennels where the hounds live and down through the fields which have gone all yellow.

On the way home we called in at the Winterborne Bakery which only opened today for the first time.

We bumped into Max – he’s a cocker spaniel that’s visiting our next door neighbours this weekend. He was a bit shy the last time I met him, but he was a bit friendlier today.

Daddy went and bought some sausage rolls and some bread and had a look around inside.. I wasn’t allowed to see where they make bread but there were lots of people outside to talk to!

We went home after that – I was pretty tired out so went to bed for a nap while daddy cleared out the garage and mummy went out somewhere. Mummy didn’t get home until gone tea time so we went out for another walk after she got back.. and did the same walk as this morning except we did it backwards and didn’t go past the kennels, so it wasn’t as far.

It was odd walking backwards, not that we actually walked backwards. It’s fun running up the rows between the plants.. they’re so big that you can’t see me when I run through them!
