The Bluebell Wood

Just up the road from my house is a very small wood and every year we go there to see the bluebells. It’s a nice little wood at any time of the year but it’s especially nice when it’s carpeted with the pretty blue flowers. Would you like to come on my walk with me?

Come on, this is the way in...

Watch you don’t snag yourself on the brambles, we should have brought secateurs with us!

Come on, keep up!!

Here we go, up this cute little path made of nice dried leaves.

Follow me & you won't get lost

Do you want to sit down for a while? I like to sit and just smell the flowers.

This is a nice spot for a sit down

Here we go, let’s have a look and see what we can see from here shall we?

We’re almost at the end of the wood now, I said it was only small.

Mmmm I think a pheasant has been here

I suppose it’s time we turned around and headed back now.

Just time for a quick close-up

Off we go, let’s retrace our steps back the way we came.

We can come back another day

The flowers will be here for a while yet and then this pretty blue wood will turn back into a normal wood.

We're almost back now

Are you keeping up? Here we are.. back at the secret entrance.

Here we are.. back out into the bright sunlight!

Now it’s just a quick hop, sniff and a zoom back home.

Just time for a quick look at the view

And then off we go back down the lane.

Almost home, hope you enjoyed the walk.
